Saadia Z. Yunus, MA, LMFT is a licensed marriage and family therapist and certified clinical trauma professional. She earned her Masters degree in marriage and family therapy summa cum laude from Hofstra University in New York. She has extensive experience working with individuals, couples, families, and groups. Her passion is to engage with people on a personal level to uplift them into discovering the best version of themselves and living life based on their principles and values. In addition to therapy, she achieves this through motivational presentations and workshops throughout the country.
Working within systems theory, the individual is seen through his/her wider connections, such as the family and society. Importance is given to the strengths, resources, and resilience of the individual and couple or family system.
Her approach to therapy is to ensure that clients are comfortable, appreciated, and motivated to believe in their ability to transform their situations. She works with clients to help them grow in inner strength and resiliency. Sessions are completely confidential and professional. The client’s cultural, familial, and religious beliefs are held in high esteem and are incorporated in helping him/her work on the issues at hand. An encouraging, non-judgmental approach to therapy enables clients to believe that positive change is not only possible but guaranteed.
